As a consumer on the central California coast, one would assume the stalk of broccoli at your local grocery store arrives directly from your local farms. Unfortunately because of the system in place, produce is first shipped hundreds of miles to the Distribution Centers of the grocery store, inventoried, and then routed back to your local store. What is perceived fresh could possibly be several weeks old. At Farmer's Garden, we are happy to offer a weekly share of our bountiful harvest directly to you. More about the harvest share.
