Frequently asked questions

1. What if I would like to be a drop off site outside of Santa Maria?
That's great.  You must have at least 3 members in your area to pick up their boxes at your drop off site. Depending on distance traveled, there will be a fee that covers our costs.

2. What if I can't pick up my box?
Get someone or another member to pick it up for you.

3. Can I get my box on a different day?
We can only do it on Wednesdays in order to work efficiently and keep our costs low.

4. Is Farmer's Garden similar to a CSA?

Yes, we are.  What is a CSA? Community Supported Agriculture or CSA is an approach to focus on local production of high quality foods using ecological or organic farming methods. A main aspect in the CSA design is the development of a commited consumer group that is willing to participate with the farmer's production in order to get quality foods.

Today many CSA's are a cooperative of produce from several growers. This expands the variety of available produce for your box.  Read more about CSA.
