Greetings!
It’s the beginning of a new season for Local Farmers Garden. Hope all has been well since the last November newsletter. I have been working on many projects and I wish to inform you of some changes with Farmers Garden. Denice and I have recently phased out of our organic farming business. We are no longer able to make the commitment we had enjoyed with Farmers Garden. In the past months we contemplated the direction of  Farmers Garden and feel we have made the best choice in working with another local farm. Babé Farms, a long time neighbor and friends of our family will offer an assurance of fresh quality and a variety of local vegetables. We believe this is the best choice to continue and expand the new Babé Farms Local Farmers Garden.

To give you a brief introduction to Babé Farms, this local family owned farming operation grows a very diverse variety of specialty vegetables and lettuces, unequal to any farm on the central coast. Babé Farms was founded in 1986 and is now owned by Judy Lundberg Wafer, a native of the Santa Maria and Lompoc Valleys’. I too am now a part of the “Babé Farms family”, working with the production and harvest departments on a daily basis. Most of Babé Farms products are not available here on the central coast usually available at upper end restaurants and specialty stores across the nation. Now, a kaleidoscope of specialty vegetables are available to you as part of a weekly box of veggies. A portion of the vegetables are grown on their 200 certified organic acres. Many of the baby vegetables, not certified organic are grown with many of the same sustainable and organic cultural practices. Babé Farms is 100% committed to providing you with high quality, fresh produce. Coming soon a video on www.babefarms.com with a preview of what’s in store for the future of the new Babé Farms Local Farmers Garden.

I sincerely thank you for your past support and am happy to still be a part of Farmers
Garden. If you have any questions I will be available as in the past. I assure you that we
at Babé Farms will continue to provide you with fresh local veggies....you will enjoy the
new box!
